The Safety Officer is responsible for safety compliance, and training of all MVP employees. Rex also provides helpful tips concerning electric power issues to the general public.
MVP also offers a free electric safety demonstration to any interested groups, such as schools, fire departments, etc. within the Mission Valley. The program has been designed for all age groups, and will teach the student safe practices around power lines. The Demo offers a video presentation and a live demonstration of an energized powerline. The live demo provides different scenerios and the resulting "accident" when under or near overhead powerlines, and what should be done to avoid these potential hazards.
