Members of the Consumer Council are your representatives of the utility.  Consisting of seven members who live and work in MVP's service area.  Members are appointed by the BIA's Flathead Agency Superintendent, and serve three-year terms.

The purposes of the Consumer Council are to provide the electric utility consumer with opportunities for participation in the development of policies and schedules to be implemented by utility management and to hear appeals of complaints of power consumers arising from implementation of such policies and schedules.  The Consumer Council my hold public hearings and conduct independent studies on key issues and concerns of consumers, and may make recommendations to the Utility Board based on the hearings and studies.
