The following definitions act as a guide to understanding the utility's terminology used in the report.
Recloser = A circuit breaker that automatically "opens" or "closes" when is senses a problem on the line. The circuit breaker will try to open and close three times before remaining closed if the problem has not cleared its self. Thus requiring a lineman to physically locate the problem within the line.
Fuse/Cutout = A piece of equipment containing a fuse and attached to a pole. When current exceeds the fuse's load rating it will melt the fuse, and prevents the current to flow.
